BUMP Preschool
was established in 1975 to provide a stimulating and nurturing Christain environment in which to promote the development of children socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually. These goals can be accomplished with a program that offers continuity and interaction between children, teachers, parents, and the community. We hope to give each child the opportunity to learn while having fun!

Three Day Program
4-5 Year Olds
Must be 4 years old by September 1st
Must be potty trained
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Morning Class: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Maximum Class Size: 16 Students

Registration Fee (non-refundable): $25
Tuition: One Payment of $1260 (Nine Payments of $140)
Two Day Program
3-4 Year Olds

Meet the Teachers

Mrs. Laura Evangelista or Mrs. E
Pre-K 3-Day Teacher
Mrs. Evangelista, or as we are calling her, Mrs. E. grew up in Industry. She is married to Matt and has 3 kids, Becca (28), Gabbie (26), and Aidan (18), and a dog named Luke Skywalker. Mrs. E joined our preschool in 2023.
What do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy teaching and volunteering. At home, I enjoy cooking with Matt and having family game nights.
Who is the greatest influence in your life?
It’s a combination of two God-loving women. My grandmother set the best example of how to be a gentle and loving mother and wife. Then, my mom showed how a Christ-filled life is a blessing to yourself and the people around you.
What do you hope our preschool students and families experience?
I want the students and families to feel supported and loved. Pre-school is such a special time, and I’m honored to share this stage of life with them.

Mrs. Linda Novak
Preschool 2-Day Teacher
Mrs. Novak joined our preschool in the summer of 2019. She is married and has two daughters, Lia Grace and Ciana Faith. Both girls are adopted from China and a blessing from God. Lily, their mischievous but adorable miniature schnauzer completes their family.
What do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy being creative and teaching children.
Who is the greatest influence in your life?
My father’s faith, commitment to family, integrity, work ethic, sense of humor , and generosity have influenced the way I choose to live my life.
What do you hope our preschool students and families experience?
I hope the preschool students and families will experience the love of Christ while attending BUMP. I would want the children to find joy in both learning and being with other children.

Mrs. Morse joined our preschool in 2021.
What do you enjoy doing?
I love spending time with family, friends and working with children.
Who is the greatest influence in your life?
The greatest influence in my life would be my parents, they raised my sisters and I in the Church which is the foundation of my faith today. I will be forever grateful to them for their love and devotion to our family.
What do you hope our preschool students and families experience?
I hope the students and their families feel the love and joy of Christ in our classroom and that they will be excited to learn!

Please note that your child needs to be potty trained and meet most toilet needs independently. He/she must be able to function independently without the need for a personal care aide within the physical limitations and boundaries of the Preschool. BUMP does not have the resources available to accommodate situations where behavior and/or developmental delays inhibit a child’s ability of function independently in the classroom.
Registration is NOT completed until after the registration payment of $25 is obtained by BUMP. Payment is accepted in the form of a check either by mail or drop off at the church office (M-F 9:00AM to 12:00AM) at:

*We do have a wait list if classes are full. We would call in the list order if a space was available.
*There is no fee due for the waiting list, just a name, number and which class you are interested in.
BUMP BOARD
The Beaver United Methodist Preschool is a ministry of the College Avenue United Methodist Church. Our purpose is to provide daily activities in a loving, Christian environment that will enrich your child’s social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive and physical development. We believe that the preschool years provide a strong foundation in these areas upon which a love of learning is built. We hope to challenge your child, but never frustrate him or her. We will encourage your child to share with others, develop self-control, use their imagination, explore, discover, and gain self-confidence. Most importantly, we will have fun! We look forward to a wonderful year of learning and growing!
Our BUMP Board is responsible for helping the preschool run smoothly. We are comprised of both parents and church members and help make the decisions for the preschool. Any parent may join, if they are interested. We have 5 in person meetings per school year. The meetings are the second Tuesday of the following months: August, October, January, March and May starting at 6:30pm in our parlor. If you are interested in joining, let your teacher know, call the office, or email our current Chairperson. We would love to have your input.
